Description

Standard Tie Down Shelving consists of two or more six-inch wide aluminum extrusions in lengths up to eight feet, that are covered with rugged vinyl padding and mounted on brackets cantilevered and bolted to bulkheads.  Each extrusion contains a recessed track into which the end fitting of a tie down strap is inserted.

The following optional accessories are available for Standard Tie Down Shelving:

Weight Calculations

Weight calculations for shelving
Weight of padded, aluminum shelf = L" x W" x .028 lbs.
Short brace and bracket = 1.04 lbs.
Long brace = 1.25 to 2.00 lbs.

CT1109 strap assembly = 0.52 lbs. each

Writing Surfaces*
18" x 72" with 2 trays = 64 lbs.
13" x 72" with 2 trays = 60 lbs.
18" x 36" with 1 tray = 33 lbs.
13" x 36" with 1 tray = 31 lbs.

*Examples of weight, listed above, are of writing surfaces and trays only and do not include the weight of the shelves or mounting braces and brackets.

Length in inches to the nearest .25 inch (± .10 inch). Lengths are produced according to customer specifications up to 144 inches.

Nominal width: 12, 18 or 24 inches (* actual width 12.20, 18.30 or 24.40 inches). Larger widths available. Must be in increments of 6 inches (6.1 inches).

EXAMPLE: KC18-4850 (18.30 inch wide 48.50 ±10 inch long shelf with END CAPS and 4 STRAPS, but no BRACKETS or STIFFENERS). If your application requires additional STIFFENERS, BRACKETS, STRAPS or special design, please contact AGM.

STIFFENERS and additional BRACKETS added for lengths over 36 inches and for every additional 36 inches or increment thereof.

A minimum of two STRAPS supplied, one additional STRAP supplied for each foot of shelving or increment thereof over 24 inches in length. Straps adjust from 11 to 60 inches.

PLASTIC END CAPS are used in lieu of item 3 on G & H configurations to conceal exposed ends.
