SORB-IT® Tyvek® bags contain silica gel desiccant. AGM's SORB-IT Tyvek bags are available in a variety of unit sizes and meet the requirements of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration for direct contact with food and pharmaceuticals.
Silica gel is a highly porous amorphous silicon dioxide. It binds water molecules in its random intersecting channels which have various diameters. The material remains dry and free flowing, even after fully saturated with water vapor.
Tyvek is made from spunbonded olefin and these SORB-IT Tyvek bags are comprised of high density polyethylene fibers, making them extremely tear-resistant.
