The TA471 Desiccator combines our TA346 Humidity Indicator with a porous plastic tube desiccator.  The increased size of the TA471 allows for easier viewing of the humidity indicating elements, as well as additional desiccant capacity.  Like the TA366 Desiccator, the increased surface area provided by the porous plastic tube increases moisture adsorption rates.  Mounts through a 1.45" (37 mm) diameter hole.  Various tube lengths up to 9" (or in some cases more) can be provided to meet specific adsorption or space requirements.  Each inch of TA471 tube contains approximately 1/2 unit of desiccant.  Condition of desiccant is monitored by the humidity indicator element.

Assemblies can be supplied with either silica gel and a 40% humidity indicator card or molecular sieve and a 20% humidity indicator card.  RFI/EMI Shielding is optional.  Also available with our TA396 Humidity Indicator as a TA473.

Tube length is specified by customer with a minimum length of 1" up to 9".  TA471 can be filled with any desiccant and fitted with any indicator element.  For example, TA471-MS4-123P is a TA471 with a 4" tube length filled with molecular sieve and fitted with a 10%-20%-30% pie sector humidity indicator card.

NOTE: This Desiccator is not refillable.  Hex nut standard.

The TA471 is appropriate for use on NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3R, 3S, 4, 5, 6, 12, 12K, and 13 enclosures, as well as I66/IP67 enclosures. This item may also be appropriate for use on other NEMA or IP enclosures, depending upon the application. Contact AGM's Engineering department for more information.
