Getter^® (activated carbon) is used to control objectionable odors and gases within packaged products ranging from pharmaceuticals to electronics.  Activated carbon exhibits a highly porous structure with a huge surface area; odors and gases are then removed through the process of adsorption.

Unpleasant gas and odor molecules are readily adsorbed by Getter because they are heavier than most other types of molecules; and, their chemical nature draws them to the activated carbon located within the Getter package. Getter is available in packets, canisters, and Continu-Strip^®.
