Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
AGM's ESOP is the heart of AGM Management's efforts to foster a positive employee culture at AGM.
Once an AGM employee meets all of AGM's ESOP eligibility requirements, then he/she becomes an
owner of AGM stock, enabling the employee to build a significant ownership stake in AGM over the
ensuing years.
AGM's employees are taught in several ways to think like owners. For example, AGM's President
writes an extensive monthly Company Status Report that is shared with all employees. This
report provides employees with information and knowledge that helps the employee to make daily
decisions that can positively impact the company's future.
AGM believes that educating employee owners on ownership issues gives our employees a better
sense of AGM's business operations. AGM's ESOP education emphasizes individual responsibility
and how the actions of one person can make a difference. By sharing financial information with our
employees, AGM develops employees who don't just think like employees. We develop employees
who think like owners.
AGM's ESOP is one of two retirement plans provided to all eligible employees. The other plan is
AGM's Defined Benefit Pension Plan. The fact that AGM offers two retirement plans makes AGM
somewhat unique, as very few small companies are able to offer their employees one retirement
plan, let alone two.
Defined Benefit Pension Plan
AGM provides a Defined Benefit Pension Plan to all eligible employees. AGM believes that offering a
traditional pension plan, which is 100% funded by the company, is in the best interest of our
employees.
AGM's Defined Benefit Pension Plan is one of two retirement plans provided to all eligible employees.
The other plan is AGM's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
Medical and Dental Benefit Plans
AGM offers a Medical and a Dental Benefit Plan to all eligible employees. AGM currently pays
approximately 75% of the insurance premiums for the Medical and Dental Benefit Plans. The Medical Benefit Plan also includes a benefit for qualifying vision care expenses. Finally,
eligible employees may include their family members in the medical and dental benefits
coverage.
Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability Plans
As a benefit to AGM's workers in connection with their off-the-job illnesses or injuries, AGM offers a
short-term and a long-term disability benefit package to all eligible employees. These plans provide
a compensation benefit that reduces the financial impact on an employee during his/her disability-
related absences from work at AGM.
Group Term Life Insurance Plan
AGM offers a Group Term Life Insurance Plan to all eligible employees. The amount of the group term
life insurance coverage is equal to 1.8 times the employee's annual wage or salary. The maximum
amount of coverage is $100,000.
Workers' Compensation Program
As required by Arizona Law, AGM has a Workers' Compensation Program for all eligible employees.
AGM's Discretionary Bonus Plan
To recognize the contributions that employees make to AGM's financial success and to foster a spirit
of pride and ownership in the company, AGM offers up to five Discretionary bonuses per year to all
eligible employees. AGM's Discretionary Bonus is only paid if 1) AGM makes a profit; and 2) AGM's
President authorizes the Discretionary Bonus.
Paid Vacation Plan
AGM provides eligible employees two to four weeks of paid vacation a year. The amount of an eligible
employee's annual vacation depends upon the employee's length of service at AGM.
Paid Holidays
Eligible AGM employees receive eight paid holidays per year.
Educational Assistance Program
To encourage every eligible AGM employee's career growth and self-development, AGM offers an
Educational Assistance Program. The program provides approved financial assistance to an
eligible employee to help defray the costs of tuition and certain related educational expenses
associated with classes taken at Pima Community College, the University of Arizona, the University
of Phoenix, or any other company-approved educational institution.
Courses eligible for reimbursement under AGM's Educational Assistance Program must be either
1) job related; 2) designed to prepare the employee for an upgraded job position at AGM; or 3) part
of a plan to achieve an undergraduate or graduate college degree. Furthermore, to quote AGM's
Educational Assistance Program Policy, "Management encourages all eligible employees to
enhance their future employability, at AGM or elsewhere, by availing themselves of AGM's
Educational Assistance Program."
As an incentive to the employee for good classroom performance, the amount of AGM's
reimbursement for tuition and related coursework expenses depends upon the letter grade
received by the eligible employee, up to a maximum of 100% of the eligible tuition and related
coursework expenses. Furthermore, if an hourly or salary employee completes a course that
Management has predetermined is directly related to the performance of the employee's current
job at AGM, and he/she receives a grade of "B" or better, then AGM considers this information
during the employees next performance and wage or salary review.
Annual Flu Vaccinations
In order to assist our employees to maintain good health, AGM provides free annual flu vaccinations to all interested employees. In addition, employees' family members can obtain flu vaccinations at AGM for a nominal fee.
AGM's employee gym includes some of the latest exercise equipment, including the newest treadmills, Bowflex, elliptical and rowing machines.
